Getting Started

- Tap “Sign in with Google”
- Authorize the app to access your Google account
2. Add Your First Website
Section titled “2. Add Your First Website”- Tap the ”+” button in the Sites tab
- Enter your website URL (e.g., https://example.com)
- Give your site a name
- Tap “Save”
3. Monitor Your Website

- View response time and HTTP status
Full Scan
Section titled “Full Scan”- Tap “Full Scan” to check for broken links

Section titled “General”Q: Is SiteCat free?
A: Yes, the current version is completely free with all features available.
Q: What platforms are supported?
A: SiteCat is available for iOS and Android devices.
Q: Do I need an account?
A: Yes, a Google account is required for data synchronization and cloud storage.
Monitoring
Section titled “Monitoring”Q: How often should I check my website?
A: It depends on your needs. For critical sites, check daily. For less critical sites, weekly checks may suffice.
Q: What does “Quick Check” do?
A: Quick Check verifies that your website’s homepage is accessible and returns the correct status code.
Q: What does “Full Scan” do?
A: Full Scan crawls your entire website to find broken links, checking all internal pages and links.
Q: How long does a Full Scan take?
A: It depends on your website size. Small sites (10-20 pages) take a few seconds, while larger sites may take several minutes.
Q: Can I stop a scan in progress?
A: Yes, tap the “Pause” button during a scan. You can resume later or cancel it.
Data & Privacy
Section titled “Data & Privacy”Q: Where is my data stored?
A: Your data is securely stored in Google Cloud Firestore.
Q: How long is monitoring history kept?
A: The free version stores up to 10 recent monitoring records per site. Older records are automatically removed when this limit is reached.
Q: Can I export my data?
A: Data export functionality is not currently available.
We are considering adding this feature in a future version.
Q: How do I delete my account?
A: When you delete your account, the following data will be permanently deleted immediately:
- Firebase Authentication account
- Registered website information
- Link check results
- Monitoring history
- All other user data
This action cannot be undone.
Technical Issues
Section titled “Technical Issues”Q: The app shows my website is down, but it’s accessible in my browser.
A: This can happen if:
- Your website blocks automated requests
- There’s a temporary network issue
- Your website uses specific authentication
Try checking again in a few minutes. If the problem persists, contact support.
Q: Full Scan is stuck or very slow.
A: Large websites may take time to scan. You can:
- Pause and resume the scan
- Check your internet connection
- Try again during off-peak hours
Q: I’m not receiving notifications.
A: Automatic notifications are a planned feature for the premium version. Currently, you need to manually check your sites.
Q: The app crashes or freezes.
A: Try these steps:
- Force close and restart the app
- Check for app updates in the App Store
- Restart your device
- If the problem persists, contact support with details
Account & Billing

A: We plan to introduce premium features in the future, including:
- Automatic monitoring
- Push notifications
- Advanced reporting
- Priority support
Q: How do I change my email address?
A: Your email is tied to your Google account. Update it in your Google account settings.
Q: I signed in with the wrong Google account.
A: Sign out from Profile → Sign Out, then sign in with the correct account.

Troubleshooting
Section titled “Troubleshooting”Cannot Sign In
Section titled “Cannot Sign In”- Ensure you have a stable internet connection
- Check that Google Sign-In is not blocked
- Try signing out of your Google account in your device settings and signing back in
- Reinstall the app if the problem persists
Sites Not Loading
Section titled “Sites Not Loading”- Check your internet connection
- Verify the website URL is correct
- Ensure the website is actually accessible
- Try removing and re-adding the site
Sync Issues
Section titled “Sync Issues”- Check internet connection
- Sign out and sign back in
- Force close and restart the app
- Check that you’re using the same Google account on all devices
Privacy & Security

- We never sell your data
- We use industry-standard encryption

- You can delete your data at any time
